Greg Stokinger figured in both Hawk goals, including scoring the game-winner with six minutes remaining as Xaverian, now 7-3-3, moved within a point of qualifying for the postseason with a win at Brockton.
With the score tied 1-all, Paul Dupre’s free kick from about 35 yards was flicked on by Marcus Payne, directly into the path of the oncoming Stokinger, who headed it over the Boxers goalkeeper for the goal in the 74th minute. Stokinger helped open the scoring in the 48th, with a low pass across the goalmouth that Dan Bireley finished.
The Boxers tied the game at 1-1 in the 52nd.
Outside midfielders Nick Logie and Danny Smith had strong games controlling the players they were marking.
