Greg Stokinger came through with a hat trick as the
Hawks completed their Catholic Conference schedule with a win
yesterday to improve to 8-5-4 overall and 3-2-3 in the league.
In the 20th minute, Conor Fitzgerald sent
a ball to Stokinger’s chest and he handled it and sent it into the
side netting. Two minutes later, Stokinger scored from James Vickery
off a corner kick.
It stayed 2-0 until the half and Malden Catholic cut
the lead in half early in the second. Stokinger completed his hat
trick from Dan Birely in the 63rd minute. Fitzgerald then
scored in the 80th minute from Vickery, making a great
individual effort past several Lancer defenders.
